Who is Cory of Coreen's Quilting?

I have been quilting for clients since 2010. I love taking a quilt and working with the quilt maker to choose the perfect quilting pattern and thread color to bring the quilt to life. There is a fine balance between enhancing the quilt with the quilting and overpowering it. I strive to find that perfect balance with every quilt. Some clients consider me a "Quilt Whisperer" and I take that title very seriously.

My quilting journey began about 30 years ago when I learned how to piece and hand quilt alongside my mother. We attended quilting bees hosted by her friends who learned how to quilt from their German grandmothers. That is when I was bitten by the quilting bug and haven't been able to shake it since.

In 2017, I made the "Poppies in the Canyon" Quilt for a Color Challenge through the Country Crossroads Quilt Guild of Modesto. This quilt hung at PIQF in 2017 and won First Place and Best of Show at the Stanislaus County Fair in July of 2018.

Deborah Miller of Plum Easy Patterns commissioned me to quilt her "On Target" quilt that was published in Summer of 2018 Quilter's World magazine.
