Tips for a successful quilting job
Trim all of the loose threads from the front and back of your quilt.
Use a lint roller to remove batting fuzz, lint, hair (human and pet) etc from the front and back.
If the outside edge of the quilt top has a lot of seams, stitch around the quilt top with a stay stitch at 1/4" or less.
The backing needs to be a minimum of 3" larger on all 4 sides. I recommend tearing the backing fabric to ensure that it is on grain. If the backing needs to be pieced, remove the selvedges from the center seam. Selvedges can be left on the outside edges of the backing.
